What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where - As far as my favorite locations, I enjoy fishing mountain streams for native trout, primarily in western Maryland and central PA. Plus, I enjoy fly-fishing with friends. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, day or weekend!
What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where - The fellowship and the great friends that I have made being a member of PVFF. In addition, the fly-fishing knowledge that everyone is willing to share with fellow members is a huge benefit.
What PVFF activities do you most enjoy or are involved in as part of your position of leadership - I look forward to the monthly programs and the annual banquet. Both are a lot of fun and a big part of what makes the club so special.

How long a club member or when you joined the club - Not sure probably 12 to 15 years
How long fishing - 30 years.     How long fly fishing - 15 years
What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where - I really like fly fishing for bass from my kayak on the Monocacy or Potomac Rivers. I also every much enjoy trout fishing local streams as well as streams out west when I travel.
What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where - I very much have enjoyed the friends I have made and their willingness to share their knowledge with me. The programs are excellent and I always learn something at each meeting. Its always enjoyable to be with people who have shared interest and don't get bored talking fly fishing! The club members are very welcoming to new members. Having a love of fly fishing creates a common bond that facilitates comradery and a welcoming environment.
What PVFF activities do you most enjoy or are involved in as part of your position of leadership - I have enjoyed participating in outreach activities such as the Nature Fest at the Nature Center, teaching the Boy Scouts, assisting with the Learn to Fly Fish Course. I like being a part of the decision making for the club. I also like recruiting women into the club and helping them to feel comfortable in a predominately male group.

How long a club member or when you joined the club - I have been a club member for 2 years.
How long fishing - 8 years..    How long fly fishing - 2 years
What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where - Floating in my kayak on a hot summer day fishing for small mouth bass in a stream or a river. A very close second is to wade fish streams and rivers. My favorites are the Potomac River, Shenandoah River, Seneca Creek and Opequon Creek.
What kind of fishing do you most enjoy and where- The things I enjoy most about being a member of PVFF are the fly tying classes, camaraderie, and sharing of knowledge. After a little more than a year attending the tying classes I probably have more confidence in my tying than I should, but I think my flies look pretty darn good. The fish seem to think so too. I could not have become so confident this quickly without the excellent instruction and tips provided in the PVFF classes. Another thing that impresses me about the club members is many are happy to share information on streams they like to fish. I have been directed to several "honey holes" by club members. It has made my journey to become a fly fisherman a pleasant one. It is much easier to catch fish if you know they are there. Attending meetings and sharing fishing experiences with members and friends is probably the best part of being in the club. One final note. I have saved a fortune by being a member. Experienced members are a great source of information when it comes time to make purchases of fly fishing and tying equipment.
What PVFF activities do you most enjoy or are involved in as part of your position of leadership -I have tried to take part in many activities and have enjoyed all of them. The fly tying classes are my favorite because they occur frequently and I can see rapid improvement in my skills. For me the classes were the easiest way to get to know other members. I have experienced several opportunities to give back to others and to the club that were quite rewarding. They include the "Wounded Warriors" events, stocking the club raised trout, and leading an outing. If you attend a meeting and ask me about one of my experiences with PVFF I will probably provide way too much information.

What PVFF activities do you most enjoy or are involved in as part of your position of leadership -
I try to immerse myself in club activities as much as possible by volunteering for anything I can help with. I love the fly tying classes, and the very relevant topics/speakers at the monthly meetings. I have yet to go on a club outing but plan to.
The leadership members are very experiences and knowledgeable and I am constantly learning from them. I am enjoying fly fishing very much because there is so much aspects to the sport (matching the hatch, reading waters, fly casting, catching) and it compliments my love for the environment.
As publicist I notify the local papers of specific club events such as monthly guest speakers at our meetings and what flies will be tied at the beginner's class and roundtable. New members have told me they have read these notices in the paper. My duties could include making flyers of events and posting in public places, and helping with facebook.
