New Editor for Streamlines URGENTLY Needed
After many years of dedicated service to keep us all informed
of club activities, Pete Cook must reduce his work load and
resign as Editor of Streamlines. Pete has done a wonderful
job since 1999 and he will be missed! Thank you Pete!
Please read:
After much deliberation and thought, the club will need to get
a newsletter editor hopefully before January 2006. I will
serve through the completion of the January newsletter if
no one comes forward before then. I talked earlier in the
year with Chuck about this and we both hoped we could find
someone I could mentor and begin turning over the reins
hopefully by September or October.
It has been a privilege to serve you and the club
in this labor of love. I followed two pretty good
editors in Len Hinrichs and Rick James. I have done
my best to keep up the tradition of excellence and
interest. I hope overall that I have succeeded. I will
miss being the editor because I have really enjoyed
it since 1999. At this time, I am over committed
turning this joy into a task. Moreover, it is time
for a new editor to carry the torch for PVFF, FFF
and their values.
Have a great summer, catch a lot of fish, and
Tight lines,
Pete
PVFF Library
John Nutter, a former PVFF member, has generously donated
to PVFF his collection of fly tying and fly fishing books.
The Board of Directors has decided to use these books
as the basis for a Fly Fishing Library the club will
maintain at the School for the Deaf as long as we are
able to meet there. The books will be available for
loan to members. I would like to encourage other
members who have books or videos that they are willing
to share with the membership to please contact me and
arrange to include them in the library. This is a
great way to share these resources. John's book
donation includes many classic books that I am
sure will receive the attention of and benefit
many club members.
